Wyatt Sabo has a diverse work experience in the field of medical training and simulation. Wyatt has held the position of Director of Medical Training and Simulation at Strategic Operations Inc. since January 2023. In this role, they plan, coordinates, and executes medical and tactical training for government and civilian agencies, utilizing Hyper-Realistic medical simulation technology. Wyatt is also responsible for coordinating and instructing various courses, including Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) and Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS).
Prior to this, Wyatt worked as the Medical Training Program Manager at Strategic Operations Inc. from June 2017 to January 2023. In this role, they had additional responsibilities such as being a Course Coordinator and Instructor for courses like Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and Tactical Medicine Technician (TMT). Wyatt also served as the State of California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Coordinator and Instructor for Law Enforcement First Responder (LEFR).
From September 2016 to June 2017, Wyatt was a Cut Suit Subject Matter Expert at Strategic Operations Inc. In this role, they presumably provided expertise in the use of Cut Suits for medical training purposes.
Additionally, Wyatt served as a Tactical Medicine Consultant at Touro University Nevada from June 2021 to December 2022.
Before entering the civilian sector, Wyatt had a 10-year career as a Corpsman in the US Navy. Wyatt gained experience and training in trauma medicine, advanced nursing care, and medical emergencies. Their responsibilities included performing diagnostic procedures, advanced first aid, basic life support, dental cleanings, and minor surgery.
Wyatt Sabo, MS HSEM, CHSE, has a diverse educational background in the field of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Wyatt obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management from National University in 2020. Prior to this, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in the same field at National University from 2017 to 2019.
In addition to their degree programs, Wyatt Sabo has also acquired various certifications related to the field. Wyatt achieved the Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) certification from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) in January 2023. Furthermore, they became a certified MACTAC Instructor Cadre through the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in March 2022. Wyatt also obtained the TCCC/TECC Affiliate Faculty certification from the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians in January 2022.
Prior to pursuing higher education, Wyatt Sabo attended the Surface Warfare Medical Institute in 2015-2016 to train as an Independent Duty Corpsman. Wyatt also attended the University of Maine from 2004 to 2006, where they studied Kinesiology and Exercise Science.
Wyatt Sabo's dedication to professional development is evident in their numerous additional certifications. These include Emergency Medical Technician certification obtained from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians in December 2020, Cut Suit Subject Matter Expert (SME) certification from Strategic Operations Inc. in November 2016, ACLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in April 2016, and CPR/BLS Instructor certification from the same institutions in April 2016. Furthermore, they have completed Non-Compliant Boarding VBSS Training with the US Navy in October 2010 and obtained the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Provider certification from the US Navy in July 2008.
