Izla Hearn

Vice President, Service Delivery at Strategic Resolution Experts

Izla Hearn has over 15 years of professional experience in a variety of roles. Izla began their career in 2002 as a Project Manager/Senior Technical Writer for General Dynamics, Signal Solutions, where they managed a team of senior technical writers and ensured quality and delivery of deliverables. Izla also coordinated with team leads to create computer security and call center SOPs, established documentation standards, and worked with the Web developer to increase the usability of internal and external sites.

In 2004, Hearn became a Project Manager/Senior Technical Writer for Princeton Information, where they managed the document development lifecycle, developed MS Project plans, milestones, and deliverables for creating and updating documentation, and coordinated with network and telecommunications SMEs to write and edit SOPs, SLAs, instructions, checklists, process diagrams, disaster recovery documentation, and troubleshooting and escalation procedures.

In 2005, Hearn worked as a Senior Business Process Analyst for COMSYS, where they worked with a team of Business Analysts and Creative Designers to re-envision and redesign the DC. GOV website, including more than 120 agency-oriented sites. Izla also interviewed more than 50 district agencies to assess the current environment, define functional requirements, and develop site maps. In the same year, Hearn also worked as a Senior Technical Writer for Modis and a Consultant: Proposal Writer for Westover Consultants, Inc.

In 2009, Hearn became an Assistant Project Manager/Human Capital Process Analyst for Teracore, Inc., where they managed process documentation efforts to create end-to-end documentation for a centralized hiring initiative, served as team lead as needed during project execution, and defined tasks and timeframes.

In 2010, Hearn became a Configuration Manager for Apex Systems, where they identified and led special projects to drive service and process improvements, participated in special work groups to establish new enterprise policies, processes, and procedures, and documented data standards, processes, procedures, and Service Level Agreements (SLA). In the same year, they also became Vice President, Service Delivery for Strategic Resolution Experts, where they planned and executed SRE’s strategic plan, services, and contracts, oversaw delivery and monitored performance in accordance with contract requirements and organizational standards, and provided supervision, coaching and mentoring to project managers, project staff, and headquarters staff.

Izla Hearn received their MA in Professional Communication from Clemson University in 2002. Prior to that, they earned their BA in English from Clemson University in 2000. Izla also holds an Associate of Arts - AA in Web Graphic Design from DeVry University and a Master's degree in Divinity/Ministry from Liberty University.
