Margaret Harrelson has a long history of work experience. Beginning in 1995, they held various roles at Duke University Press, including DBA/Project Manager, User Services Specialist, and Production Coordinator. In 2005, they became an Intern at Booz Allen Hamilton and then an Associate in 2006. During this time, they created detailed as-is process maps, conducted impact and risk analysis, created a centralized repository of SOPs, built customized site features, and provided change management support and training. From 2011 to 2013, they worked at Bridgeborn as a Knowledge Management Analyst, teaching USAID employees knowledge capture and sharing techniques. Margaret then moved to BNL, Inc. as a Program Manager and Deputy Project Manager, assisting the VA project management office in the implementation of a multimillion-dollar HRIS. In 2016, they became a Business Analyst at DSA and then in 2018, a Project Manager and Analyst at Strategic Resolution Experts.
Margaret Harrelson's education history includes a MBA in Business Administration and Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which they obtained between 2003 and 2006. Margaret also holds a BA in Women's Studies from Earlham College, which they earned between 1990 and 1992. Prior to that, they attended New York University from 1987 to 1989. In addition, Margaret holds several certifications, including a PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) from the Project Management Institute (2022), a SAFe 5 Agilist Certification from Scaled Agile, Inc.
