Kym Hoover has a wide range of experience in the business travel and hospitality industry. Kym started their career in 2015 as the Director of Sales and Marketing at The Iroquois New York Hotel. From there, they took on various interim director roles at different hotels, such as The Knickerbocker Hotel, The Roger New York, and The Wagner at the Battery Hotel, where they oversaw business travel and sales operations. In 2016, Kym joined Strategic Solution Partners as an Independent Consultant and later joined the GBTA | Global Business Travel Association, where they held multiple roles, including Director of Marketing and Public Relations at the NYCBTA. In 2019, they briefly worked as a Global Hotel Program Consultant at Ovation Travel Group and later returned to The Knickerbocker Hotel as the Interim Director of Business Travel. In 2020, they served as the Interim Director of Business Travel at The Knickerbocker Hotel and also briefly held the role of Interim Director of Business Travel at The Knickerbocker Hotel. Currently, they are working as the Director of Communications and Public Relations at the New York City Business Travel Association.
Kym Hoover's education history begins in 1996 when they attended CUNY New York City College of Technology. They pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management and completed their studies in 2000. Following that, from 2002 to 2004, they enrolled in New York University and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Food Studies. In October 2021, Kym Hoover also obtained a certification in Critical Thinking and Problem Solving from LinkedIn.
