Maria Bowie

Maria Bowie has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Maria is currently serving as the Vice President at Strategic Marketing Innovations, Inc. (SMI) since April 2022. Before that, they worked as the Director of Government Affairs at Leidos from February 2021 to March 2022. Maria also has extensive experience in the U.S. House of Representatives, where they held multiple roles, including Deputy Chief of Staff, Policy and Appropriations, and Legislative Director. Prior to that, Maria worked as a Manager of Legislative Affairs at BAE Systems and as a Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton. Maria'scareer started in the U.S. House of Representatives as a Military & Veterans' Affairs Liaison and a Legislative Assistant. Maria Bowie completed their education at various institutions. Maria obtained a Master's degree in Political Science and Government from Uppsala University from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in International Affairs from The George Washington University between 1988 and 1992. Maria also pursued further education at U.S. Naval War College where they completed the College of Naval Command and Staff program from 2019 to 2022. Additionally, Maria has unspecified experience in International Relations and Affairs, possibly from Uppsala University.
