Brad Nielsen

Brad Nielsen has a long history of working in the IT field. Brad began their career in 2001 at San Diego Gas & Electric as a Project Manager for the Project Engagement Team. In this role, they worked with all levels of leadership to drive enterprise Agile transformation and was responsible for envisioning, justifying, and implementing an enterprise Business Process Management (BPM) platform. Brad was also the Supervisor for Work Management Systems, where they provided leadership to a team of analysts and senior analysts, and acted as a mentor for team members. In 2003, they were promoted to Senior Systems Analyst. In 2019, Brad moved to Sempra Energy as an IT Manager for HR and Corporate Center, where they worked with a great team to transform the organization's ways of working. In 2021, they returned to San Diego Gas & Electric as an IT Group Product Manager for HR, Corporate Center, and Enterprise Applications. In this role, they led 16 Scrum teams in AWS and Azure cloud development, modernized all custom developed applications for HR and Corporate Center to cloud, and led Agile and DevSecOps transformation with a focus on innovation, cybersecurity, and user experience. Currently, Brad is the Chief Technology Officer at Tactive.

Brad Nielsen has a Master's Degree in Business Administration - Information Systems from San Diego State University, which they obtained in 2005. Brad also has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration - Management from San Diego State University, which they obtained in 2001. In addition, Brad has obtained four certifications: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from UC San Diego Extension in 2017, ITIL Foundation v3 from Office of Government Commerce in 2010, Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute in 2012, and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from Scrum Alliance in 2012.
