Ranil Sonnadara

Ranil Sonnadara has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Ranil has held leadership positions such as President, Chief Research Officer & CEO at Compute Ontario and Head of Sound Design at Stratford Festival. Ranil has also worked in academia, serving as Creative Director at McMaster University's LIVELab, an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto, and various other research and teaching roles. Additionally, they have worked as a Scientist in healthcare institutions such as CMAS and Mount Sinai Hospital. Throughout their career, Ranil has also pursued their passion for sound design and composition through freelance work and roles at companies like Sonnadara Performance Group, West Yorkshire Playhouse, and the National Theatre.

Ranil Sonnadara completed their Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Physiology from the University of Leeds in 1998. Ranil then went on to earn their Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from McMaster University in 2005, followed by a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Kinesiology at McMaster University from 2005 to 2007. Additionally, Ranil attended Dulwich College for their earlier education, although specific dates were not provided.
