Kelly Lehr has a strong background in emergency response and management. Kelly began their career as a Firefighter Paramedic with Strathcona County in 2000 and eventually transitioned into the role of Lieutenant Paramedic. In this position, Kelly displayed exceptional leadership by overseeing the development and training of seven recruit classes. Kelly then moved on to become the Captain of Occupational Health, Safety, & Training, where they not only delivered educational programs but also acted as an incident safety officer during emergency responses. Kelly continued to advance in their career and became the Division Chief of Planning & Training, where they focused on enhancing emergency response capabilities and operational efficiency. Kelly played a crucial role in integrating new divisions and fostering a collaborative environment. Kelly's most recent position is Deputy Chief, Operations Support, a role they continue to hold in 2023. Throughout their various roles, Kelly has consistently demonstrated strategic leadership and a commitment to delivering superior emergency services. Before joining Strathcona County, Kelly worked as an EMT and Paramedic for the City of Edmonton from 1996 to 2000.
