Miguel Franco has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Miguel began their career as a Volunteer at UNICEF from 2001 to 2004. This was followed by a role as an Analyst at Q21, where they reported on service quality and performance evaluation for major clients such as Galp Energia, Portugal Telecom, Intermarché, and Unilever from 2006 to 2008.
In 2008, Miguel Franco joined the European University Sports Association (EUSA) as the Vice-President of the European University Tennis Championship. Miguel was responsible for the Financial Department, Marketing & Fund-Raising Department, and Legal Department until 2010. During this time, they successfully organized the championship, attracting 34 teams from 16 countries and a record-breaking number of participants in EUSA history.
From 2009 to 2013, Miguel Franco worked at the University of Coimbra in multiple roles. Miguel started as a Senator representing the students and played a crucial role in shaping Portugal's educational policy. Miguel also represented the students at the Cultural Foundation and was a Member of the Advisory Board, contributing to the strategies of various university infrastructures. Later, they became a part of the Management Committee of the University Stadium of Coimbra, where they were responsible for monitoring 26 different sports, budget guidelines, and infrastructure strategies.
Miguel Franco then joined ISA - Intelligent Sensing Anywhere in 2013. Miguel initially served as the Business Development - Tendering Manager until 2015. During this time, they focused on tender management and contributed to business development efforts. In 2014, they took on the role of Quality Manager, where they oversaw quality planning, control, assurance, and improvement. From 2015 to 2017, Miguel Franco served as the Head of Marketing, Partner Acquisition & Communication, ensuring effective marketing strategies and partner acquisition for the company.
In 2017, Miguel Franco joined Stratio as the Vice President of Business Development. Miguel held this position until present, leading the company's business development efforts and contributing to its growth and success.
Miguel Franco holds a Master's degree and a Licentiate degree in Economics from Universidade de Coimbra.
