Galen Surlak-Ramsey, M.Div, BCC, is the Senior Coordinator for Spiritual Care for Tidewell Hospice, a member of Empath Health. He leads the spiritual care department and develops best practices to better serve patients, families, and staff to address spiritual concerns. Galen joined Tidewell in 2007 and was originally the staff chaplain for the North Port home team. Previously he was working on his Clinical Pastoral Education units as a chaplain in Orlando with Florida Hospital. Galen earned his Master of Divinity from Asbury Seminary and board certification from the Association of Professional Chaplains in 2016.
