Avi Pinkas

Avi Pinkas has over 20 years of work experience in various technology leadership roles. Avi is currently serving as the CTO as a Service at Strauss since May 2022. Prior to that, Avi worked as a Technology Executive in an undisclosed company, starting in May 2022.

From 2012 to 2022, Avi was the VP R&D (Retail) at Priority Software, where they played a crucial role in developing the business strategy of the company. Avi managed a large development unit and handled significant R&D budgets for retail-chain clients.

Before that, Avi worked as a Senior Director at Netwise from 2010 to 2012. Avi led multiple development teams and successfully executed various large-scale projects, including content management applications and complex operational systems.

From 2002 to 2010, Avi held key roles at the Office of the Prime Minister of Israel. Avi served as the Chief Development Officer (CDO), overseeing the organization's strategic Intelligence Enterprise Project. Avi was responsible for defining software architecture, managing development and infrastructure teams, and implementing agile methodologies. Avi also served as the .NET Infrastructures Development Manager, where they led a software infrastructure team and provided technological guidance for information extraction systems.

Avi started their career at NCR Corporation, where they worked as a Team Leader from 1998 to 2000 and as a Software Developer from 1996 to 1998.

Throughout their career, Avi has demonstrated strong leadership skills, extensive technical expertise, and a strategic mindset in delivering successful technology solutions.

Avi Pinkas obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Computer Science from Clark University, which they attended from 2007 to 2009. Prior to this, they pursued a degree in System Analysis from John Bryce School, specializing in Information Systems Analysis, during the academic year 1999-2000. Additionally, they completed a program at IBM College in 1995-1996, where they focused on Software Development with a specialization in C/C++ programming.
