Elad Shalev

Architect & CTO consulting at Strauss

Elad Shalev has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Elad is currently working as a Technology Instructor at John Bryce since July 2021. Prior to this, they were employed at Strauss as an Architect & CTO consultant, where they worked with major companies in Israel, designing modern digital architecture and establishing methodologies for DevOps & CI/CD. Elad also worked on Big Data architecture and implementation.

Before joining Strauss, Elad served as the Vice President of Research and Development at Eton.News, an EdTech startup, from January 2018 onwards. Here, they worked on developing a global storytelling platform tailored to schools based on real journalism processes.

Prior to this, Elad was a co-founder and the VP of R&D at AppWize from May 2016 to January 2018. During their tenure at AppWize, they focused on providing software solutions to large and small companies and was involved in building technologies and architecture for mobile solutions, Big Data, Smart Mobility, SAAS, Content management, and Cloud solutions.

Elad also has experience working at YIT (Yedioth Information Technologies) as the VP of R&D and business development from May 2013 to May 2016. Here, they led the innovation, technology, strategy, and platform architecture for the entire group.

Additionally, Elad was a co-founder at Smart Stylz, a startup company in the interactive smartphone field, from January 2011 to January 2013. Elad was responsible for creating the business plan and writing the U.S. patent.

Earlier in their career, Elad worked at Leonardo Worldwide Corporation as the General Manager of the Israel branch from January 2008 to January 2011. Elad was also the R&D Manager at the company from January 2002 to January 2008. In this role, they set up the R&D center, managed a team of 14 developers, and was involved in recruitment, as well as the development of work plans, processes, and procedures.

Elad Shalev obtained a Practical Engineering Degree in Computer Science from Hadassah College, Jerusalem, where they studied from 1994 to 1996. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Computer Science from Israel Open University from 1996 to 1997.
