Christopher Hylarides

Christopher Hylarides has several years of experience in the field of systems administration and engineering. Christopher began their career at Cryptologic, where they started as a NOC analyst and quickly progressed to the role of Senior UNIX Administrator. At Cryptologic, they were responsible for managing UNIX machines and applications in a team of systems administrators.

Following their time at Cryptologic, Hylarides joined OANDA Corporation as a Systems Administrator. In this role, they managed servers, storage devices, and networking equipment across multiple facilities worldwide. Christopher supported a range of Solaris and Linux servers, as well as 3rd party applications. Additionally, they built and maintained Solaris machines with ZFS, JBOD arrays, and Solaris Containers/Zones.

After their tenure at OANDA, Hylarides joined SALT Technology Inc. as a Senior Systems Administrator. Christopher oversaw the management of SALT's payment and cloud wallet infrastructure. Christopher successfully migrated SALT's production infrastructure into SAVVIS' cloud environment (VPDC) and consolidated the developer environment into Amazon EC2/VPC. As part of their responsibilities, they updated SALT's systems from Centos 4.

Hylarides then worked at Scalar Decisions as an Infrastructure Engineer. Christopher actively participated in the company's infrastructure projects and played a key role in ensuring effective operations and development. Their role involved the management of various infrastructure components.

Most recently, Hylarides joined Street Contxt as a DevOps Engineer. Christopher has been in this role since 2016.

Christopher Hylarides completed their education from 2000 to 2004 at Sheridan College, where they pursued a degree in Telecommunications Technology with a field of study in Networking.
