Sonam Velani

Sonam Velani is a dynamic professional with an extensive background in urban development, healthcare logistics, and sustainable infrastructure. As Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Streetlife Ventures since 2022, Sonam focuses on creating opportunities within cities. Previously, as Head of Global Partnerships at Zipline, Sonam engaged with public health organizations to enhance healthcare delivery through drone technology. A five-year tenure as Senior Advisor to the New York City Deputy Mayor included overseeing $5 billion in initiatives for climate-smart infrastructure and affordable housing. At the World Bank, Sonam specialized in sustainable cities and climate change, managing over $8 billion in infrastructure projects. Earlier experiences include vital roles at Goldman Sachs, Ashoka, and various organizations in urban planning and microfinance. Sonam holds a BA with Honors from Harvard University.
