Cynthia Duran is a seasoned health care professional with extensive experience in community health services, currently serving as the Community of Care Regional Manager at STRIDE Community Health Center since February 2020. Duran has played a pivotal role in integrating patient navigation, care management, health education, and prevention programs, particularly for marginalized communities in the Denver metro area. Prior positions include Patient Navigation Manager at STRIDE and Patient Navigator Supervisor at Metro Community Provider Network, where Duran emphasized staff development and program growth. Duran's background also includes roles as a Clinical Care Coordinator II and Health Coach, along with early career experience in education and public health outreach. Currently pursuing an MPH in Maternal and Child Health at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Duran holds two Bachelor's degrees in Community Health from New Mexico State University.
STRIDE Community Health Center
STRIDE Community Health Center, formerly known as Metro Community Provider Network (MCPN), is a 501(c)(3) Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a 30-year history of providing primary care and other health-related services in a community-based setting. Established in 1989 in response to the primary health care needs of the medically indigent population in suburban Denver, STRIDE now has one of the largest population base of any FQHC in Colorado. STRIDE addresses the need for affordable and accessible medical, behavioral health, and dental care among low-income, uninsured, and underserved populations residing outside the city and county of Denver. STRIDE’s current service area encompasses Adams, Arapahoe, Douglas, Jefferson, and Park counties and the Cities of Aurora, Arvada, Edgewater, Englewood, Lakewood, Littleton, Parker, and Wheat Ridge in the state of Colorado. From a single clinic in 1989, STRIDE has grown into a large, integrated health care delivery system with nearly 20 health center locations providing primary medical care, dental care, behavioral health, and wrap around services, including three School Based Health Centers (SBHCs) and a mobile dental van.
