Megan Adamson, MD, MHS, FAAFP, DipABLM, DipABOM, currently serves as the Deputy Chief Medical Officer at STRIDE Community Health Center since September 2024. Adamson has been a member of the Board of Directors at Colorado Academy of Family Physicians since May 2021 and previously held the position of Clinic Medical Director at Clinica Family Health from July 2018 to September 2024. Involved in various professional organizations, Adamson served on the Commission on Quality & Practice for the American Academy of Family Physicians from January 2017 to December 2021. Adamson's clinical experience includes working as a Family Physician and Clinical Team Lead at Dartmouth-Hitchcock from September 2014 to July 2018 and holding roles at Triangle Family Practice and Duke University Medical Center earlier in the career. Educationally, Adamson earned an MHS in Clinical Leadership from Duke University and an MD from Boston University School of Medicine, following a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Spanish from Pomona College.

STRIDE Community Health Center

STRIDE Community Health Center, formerly known as Metro Community Provider Network (MCPN), is a 501(c)(3) Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a 30-year history of providing primary care and other health-related services in a community-based setting. Established in 1989 in response to the primary health care needs of the medically indigent population in suburban Denver, STRIDE now has one of the largest population base of any FQHC in Colorado. STRIDE addresses the need for affordable and accessible medical, behavioral health, and dental care among low-income, uninsured, and underserved populations residing outside the city and county of Denver. STRIDE’s current service area encompasses Adams, Arapahoe, Douglas, Jefferson, and Park counties and the Cities of Aurora, Arvada, Edgewater, Englewood, Lakewood, Littleton, Parker, and Wheat Ridge in the state of Colorado. From a single clinic in 1989, STRIDE has grown into a large, integrated health care delivery system with nearly 20 health center locations providing primary medical care, dental care, behavioral health, and wrap around services, including three School Based Health Centers (SBHCs) and a mobile dental van.
