Marcelo Catach has an extensive work experience in software engineering, product management and mobile development. Marcelo started their career in 1997 as a Software Engineer at Seal Sistemas e Tecnologia, where they were responsible for software analysis and functional specifications of commercial automation applications. In 2000, they worked as a Software Engineer at EverSystems, where they were responsible for coordinating PalmOS applications development. From 2002 to 2008, Marcelo was the Cofounder and executive producer at Quantix Games, where they led the Brazilian market in the games industry. From 2008 to 2012, they worked as a Sr. Mobile Developer at RADI - Restaurant Application Development International LLC, where they were responsible for developing the Mobile Order Taking iPhone and Android apps for McDonald’s Global Offices. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Senior iOS Software Engineer at Viva Real, where they developed the top-ranked iOS app of VivaReal. From 2015 to 2020, Marcelo worked as a Product Manager at Beleza na Web, where they were responsible for creating and maintaining roadmaps. Since 2020, they have been the Founder of BgO mobile creations, where they have been creating from conception to analysis of metrics and management of stores. In 2022, Marcelo will start working as a Senior Software Engineer, iOS at Stride.
Marcelo Catach started their education at Escola Morumbi before moving on to Colégio Bandeirantes, where they completed their high school studies in Science from 1993 to 1995. Marcelo then went on to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo from 1996 to 1999. In 2001, they earned their Master’s Degree in Software Engineering from Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas. In 2014, they completed a course in Building Mobile Experiences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
