Rafael de Oleza

Rafael de Oleza is an experienced software engineer currently working at Stripe since February 2022. Prior to this role, Rafael held positions at New Relic, Inc. where responsibilities included overseeing UI tooling architecture and leading performance initiatives, GitHub as lead of the Atom code editor, Facebook leading the Local Ads team and the JavaScript infrastructure team, and Spotify as a member of the JavaScript infrastructure team where a patented technology for playing encrypted MP3s was developed. Rafael's career began at Telefonica I+D and included roles at Jajah and giffgaff where Rafael contributed to foundational web development. Rafael holds a Master’s Degree in Telecommunications Science from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
