Sophie Field

Sophie Field has a diverse work experience history. Sophie currently holds the role of Communities Lead at the Stroke Association, where they are responsible for the strategic development of the organization's approach to working with communities across the UK. Sophie also directly manages the Communities Coordinator and provides thought leadership on community development.

Prior to their current role, Sophie worked at the Stroke Association as a Sport England Project Manager, overseeing the Active Lives after Stroke project. Sophie also served as a Stroke Ambassador and Volunteer Programme Coordinator, where they managed projects and developed the Stroke Ambassador program.

Sophie's experience also includes a role as a Programme Associate Manager at The Challenge, where they managed and supported the delivery of the NCS program. Additionally, they worked as a Progressions Coordinator at Street League, delivering the Street Step Academy program to young people in Birmingham.

Earlier in their career, Sophie held roles at organizations such as Girlguiding UK, where they worked as a Programme and Events Team Administrator, and the National Council for Voluntary Youth Services, where they were a Youth Participation Young Facilitator. Sophie also gained experience at the Early Learning Centre as a Temporary Sales Assistant.

Sophie has also had leadership roles at the Youth Hostel Association, where they progressed from Team Leader to Head Team Leader over the span of four summers. In these roles, they were responsible for the pastoral care of young people and staff at residential camps.

Lastly, Sophie worked at the Dudley Community Dance Consortium as an Artist and Assistant.

Overall, Sophie Field has a strong background in program management, community development, and volunteer coordination.

Sophie Field attended Bangor University from 2005 to 2008, where they obtained a 1st Class Honours degree in Linguistics with the English Language. Sophie also received a certification in Team Leader/Supervisor Level 3 from the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education in June 2020.
