Marie Johansson has extensive work experience in various roles within marketing, sales, and management. Marie began their career as a Marketing Assistant at the Swedish Spanish Chamber of Commerce in 1994 and later worked as a Teacher in French and English at Krungårdsskolan from 1989 to 1990. In 1995, they joined Inter IKEA Systems and held positions such as Trainee, Business Development Manager, and Commercial Manager until 2001. Marie then worked at Ticket Travel Group as a Marketing Manager from 2001 to 2003 and as the Director of Communications and Marketing Nordic from 2003 to 2008. From 2008 to 2011, Johansson worked at Ticket Biz as the Director Groups & Events Nordic and subsequently as the Director Sales & Marketing Nordic from 2011 to 2015. Their most recent position was at Strömma Turism och Sjöfart AB, where they served as the Marketing & Sales Director Nordic and VD Destination Stockholm from 2015.

Marie Johansson completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Studies from Växjö University from 1990 to 1994. In addition, they also pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies from the University of Hertfordshire between 1992 and 1993.
