Christian Neumann

Christian Neumann is an experienced Senior Programme Advisor and Desk Officer for Asia at Strømmestiftelsen since August 2021. Prior to this role, Christian held multiple positions at GRID-Arendal from April 2011 to September 2021, including Principal Programme Officer for Marine Environments and Leader of the Ecosystems, Economies and Sustainable Development Programme. Christian also served as Marine Ecology/Biology Project Manager and was a member of the Board of Directors. Before working at GRID-Arendal, Christian was the High Seas Conservation Officer at WWF Germany from January 2010 to April 2011, where responsibilities included leading a global project for establishing protected areas in international waters along with policy work, fundraising, and project management. Christian holds a Master of Science in Marine Ecology from the University of Bremen and has additional education from Steinbeis Hochschule.
