Rachel Gilgoff has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Rachel served as a Senior Clinical and Science Advisor at the ACEs Aware Initiative, UCLA-UCSF ACEs and Family Resilience Network (UCAAN) since September 2020. Prior to that, they were the Chief Medical Officer at Stronger Brains Inc. starting from October 2019. Rachel also completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Integrative Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine from July 2020 to July 2021. Previously, they worked at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland as a Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner from February 2007 to July 2020, and as a Pediatrician and Child Abuse Pediatrician from February 2007 to November 2017. Rachel also served as the Medical Director of Clinical Innovations and Research at the Center for Youth Wellness from January 2019 to September 2019. Additionally, they worked as the Principal Investigator of the Resiliency Clinic at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, Bay Area Research Consortium from August 2017 to May 2018.

Rachel Gilgoff has an extensive education history in the medical field. Rachel attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1992 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree. Their double major was in Molecular and Cell Biology (Neurobiology) and Comparative Literature.

Following their undergraduate studies, Rachel enrolled at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California from 1997 to 2001. Rachel completed their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree during this time.

Subsequently, Rachel pursued further specialization in Pediatric Medicine. From 2001 to 2004, they participated in a Pediatric Internship and Residency program at Children's Hospital Oakland.

In 2004, Rachel continued their education and completed a Fellowship at the University of California, Davis - School of Medicine and Children's Hospital Oakland. Their specialization during this time was in the field of Child Abuse Pediatrics.

In terms of certifications, Rachel obtained their Board Certification in General Pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) in 2004. Rachel also achieved Board Certification in Child Abuse Pediatrics from the same institution, though the specific date is not provided. Lastly, Rachel recently obtained a certification in Integrative Medicine from the American Board of Physician Specialties (ABPS) in July 2022.
