Jason Van Velsor

Dr. Van Velsor is currently a Senior Associate and the Director of the NDE & Instrumentation group in the Energy Services organization focused on the deployment of advanced testing and monitoring methods to support and enhance SI’s engineering capabilities. He joined SI in 2011 through the acquisition of a guided wave testing services business that he had co-developed with his previous employer. Since joining, Dr. Van Velsor has served in multiple leadership positions and has been a champion for innovation, introducing new technologies to the business, developing strategic relationships and licensing agreements with outside organizations, and establishing SI as a preferred NDE R&D contractor with multiple industry consortiums. Additionally, he has significant experience in and knowledge of the nuclear, fossil, and oil & gas markets, which comprise SI’s three largest business areas. Dr. Van Velsor was elected to the SI Board in 2018, where he currently serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Governance Committee.
