Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer at STRYDE from June 2021 to March 2022, where they transferred their skills in wave propagation sensing to the seismic domain and collaborated with colleagues globally and the UX/UI design team.

Before joining STRYDE, Ahmed served as an IoT Data Science Research Fellow at the University of Agder (UiA) from December 2016 to March 2021. In this role, they conducted research on IMU, IoT, and RF sensing for healthcare and eldercare. Ahmed gained hands-on experience in data collection, cleaning, analysis, processing, and building machine learning models. Ahmed also focused on extracting understandable and interpretable features from collected data to aid in building machine learning models.

Additionally, Ahmed worked as a Visiting Research Data Scientist at Sense4Care in October-November 2019, where they conducted experimental research in collaboration with the research group. Here, they cleaned, analyzed, and processed data from a variety of IoT and IMU devices for healthcare.

Ahmed also had a visiting researcher position at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications in May-July 2018.

In their earlier career, Ahmed was an Assistant Lecturer at The German University in Cairo from August 2015 to November 2016. Here, they conducted research on software system prototyping of low complexity 3D ray-tracing algorithms for indoor coverage planning software, resulting in a conference paper outcome. Ahmed also gave tutorials to students in various courses. Prior to this, they served as a Teaching Assistant at the same university from September 2013 to August 2015.

Furthermore, Ahmed worked as a Java Developer at Ulm University in June-July 2012, where they focused on prototyping for hard real-time systems using Java, developing scheduling algorithms, and analyzing worst-case response scenarios and time for these systems.

Ahmed also worked as an Android Developer at the German University in Cairo for a short period in June-August 2011.

Finally, Ahmed gained initial work experience as an intern in the Information Technology department at GUPCO in July-August 2010, where they learned about the enterprise's network hierarchy, topology, and how to configure Cisco devices.

Ahmed Abdelgawwad's education history is as follows:

Ahmed began their educational journey at the Jesuit Fathers School from 2002 to 2005. After completing their secondary education, they enrolled at The German University in Cairo in 2008. Ahmed obtained two Bachelor's degrees from this institution; one in Information Engineering and Technology and the other in Information Technology. Ahmed attended The German University in Cairo until 2013.

In 2012, Ahmed had a brief academic experience at Ulm University, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree. However, the field of study for this degree is not specified.

Following their time at The German University in Cairo, Ahmed pursued a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from The German University in Cairo, which they completed from 2013 to 2015.

Ahmed furthered their education by pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in ICT (Information and Communication Technology) from the University of Agder (UiA) from 2016 to 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Ahmed has obtained several certifications. These include "Design Patterns in Java: Behavioral" and "Design Patterns in Java: Structural" from Pluralsight, both acquired in 2022. Ahmed also holds a "Machine Learning Nanodegree" from Udacity, attained in 2021. Furthermore, they received a certification in "Docker for Data Scientists" from LinkedIn in 2020. Ahmed has also completed various online courses in data manipulation, SQL, Pandas, Python programming, and statistical analysis, offered by platforms like DataCamp.

Please note that the specific months of completion for some certifications are not mentioned in the provided information.
