Dan Teo has a diverse work experience in various industries. Dan started their career as a Quality Control Executive at SingTel in 2004, where they worked until 2006. Dan then joined Merck as a Helpdesk Consultant from 2006 to 2009. From 2009 to 2011, they worked at Booking.com as a Customer Service Team Lead and was later promoted to Operations Team Lead, where they had additional responsibility for the Customer Service Department in Singapore. At Booking.com, they were responsible for managing contact centers in APAC and played a key role in setting up standard operating procedures and workforce management. Dan also contributed to employee engagement initiatives and customer satisfaction improvement projects. In 2016, they worked at Club Med as the Director of Operations - Greater China for a period of eight months. Their most recent role was at Student.com, where they served as the Director of Global Sales and Service from 2017 to 2021 before being promoted to General Manager (APAC) in August 2021.

Dan Teo completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Leadership and Management at York St. John University from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma in Software Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic from 1999 to 2002. In addition to their formal education, Dan Teo also acquired a certification in Corporate Innovation Programs from THNK - School of Creative Leadership in December 2012.
