Thorsten Wegener has a vast and diverse work experience in the entertainment industry. Thorsten began their career in 1993 as the Head of Children and Family Entertainment at TaurusFilm / BetaFilm / KirchGroup. From 2000 to 2002, they served as the Managing Director Program & Production at Victory Film Productions GmbH. Thorsten then moved on to TAB Film GmbH, where they held the role of Managing Director / Producer from 2002 to 2008. In 2005, they also worked as a Producer at Tellux Film GmbH / Cross Media Medienproduktion GmbH. From 2007 to 2008, they served as the Director Program and Production at Studio 100 Media. In 2009, they took on the role of Member of the Board of Directors at Flying Bark Productions Pty Ltd. That same year, they joined Studio 100 as the Director of Business Operations, overseeing the development, business growth, and international sales of the company's theatrical activities. Thorsten also produced the "Maya the Bee - The Honey Games" movie.
Thorsten Wegener attended Clara Schumann Gymnasium from 1976 to 1984, where they obtained their A-Level. Thorsten then enrolled at IHK Köln from 1984 to 1987 and successfully completed a Business Training Photographer program, earning a Diploma Excellent. In 1988, they pursued Practical Training in TV Production at Video Company Bonn / Köln for a year. From 1989 to 1993, Thorsten studied at Munich Film Academy HFF, earning a Master's degree in Production and Media Economics. Additionally, from 1990 to 1992, they worked as a Freelance Production- & Editor Assistant at Bavaria Film GmbH / Action Games while pursuing their education.
