Samantha Josaphat-Medina has a diverse work experience in the field of architecture and design. In 2012, they started working as an Architectural Designer for NY Based - Transportation & Recreational Architecture Firms until 2015. Samantha then moved on to work as an Architect & Interior Designer for NY Based - Corporate Interiors Architecture Firms from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, Samantha founded their own company, STUDIO 397 Architecture PLLC, where they hold the role of Founder & Principal. Alongside their professional work, they became involved with nycoba|NOMA (NY Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects) in 2018, serving as President Elect from April 2018 to December 2018, and then as President from January 2019 to December 2020. Additionally, they are currently an Adjunct Associate Professor at The City College of New York, a role they have held since January 2019. Samantha's extensive experience showcases their leadership abilities, expertise in architecture, and dedication to promoting diversity and community development in the field.

Samantha Josaphat-Medina holds a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree from Penn State University. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications, including TN Registered Architect, NJ Registered Architect, NY Registered Licensed Architect, LEED GA (Green Associate), and a certification in Construction Management from Pace University.
