Edwin van Rest

Edwin van Rest has an extensive work experience. Edwin is the Founder and CEO of Studyportals, a global study choice platform, since 2007. Edwin is also a member of the AACSB International EMEA Advisory Council since 2019 and a member of the NAGAP International Advisory Council since 2017. Additionally, they are a member of The Change Club, which supports initiatives for positive change. Edwin has held various positions in the European Association for International Education (EAIE), serving as an elected member of the General Council from 2016 to 2019 and as Chair of the Board on PS Marketing & Recruitment from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they were Vice-Chair of the Board on PS Marketing & Recruitment from 2012 to 2014. Edwin has also worked as a Strategy Consultant at Strategy Development Partners from 2007 to 2008. Edwin completed their MSc. graduation project at Squarewise in 2006, focusing on the evaluation and optimization of knowledge processes in offshoring initiatives. Edwin was also an intern at Atos Origin during the Olympic Games Torino 2006.

Edwin van Rest began their education in 2000, attending Eindhoven University of Technology. Edwin completed their MSc degree in Engineering/Industrial Management in 2006. During their time at Eindhoven, they focused on industrial management within the field of engineering.

In 2004, Edwin van Rest expanded their educational experience by studying abroad at Osaka University. Edwin pursued a second MSc degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Science, which they completed in 2005. This opportunity allowed him to gain knowledge and skills in the Japanese context, further enhancing their expertise in industrial engineering and management.
