Harold Dupuy has extensive work experience in the jewelry industry. Harold started their career in 1973 at H. J. Wilson Co., Inc. as a Senior Vice President in Merchandising, where they worked until 1985. Harold then founded their own company, Lornay's Fine Jewelers, where they served as CEO until 1988. Harold then joined Wilson Jewelers as Vice President in Merchandising & Marketing and worked there until 1998. After that, they started their own business, GemWorth Appraisals, where they were the owner until 2002. Since 2002, Harold has been working as the Vice President of Strategic Analysis at Stuller Inc.

Harold Dupuy, FGA, obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where they studied from 1968 to 1973. In 1995, they completed the Graduate Gemologist program at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), specializing in Gemology. Then, in 2013, Harold attained the FGA (Fellow Gemmological Association of Great Britain) designation from the Gemmological Association of Great Britain. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Master Gemologist Appraiser from the American Society of Appraisers, earned in September 1997, and as a Graduate Gemologist from GIA, obtained in February 1995.
