Nora Noonan has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Nora began their career at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh as a Garden Ranger from October 2006 to February 2010. Following that, they worked as a Collections Assistant at RCAHMS from July 2010 to December 2010. Nora then joined Scottish Seabird Centre as a Discovery Centre Assistant from March 2010 to March 2011. Returning to RCAHMS, they held the position of Trainee Curatorial Officer - Skills For The Future from February 2011 to January 2012, and subsequently served as a Public Services Officer from January 2012 to February 2012. Currently, Nora is employed at STV as a News Media Manager, where they are responsible for various tasks including the selection and editing of news and sports rushes, cataloguing news footage, and assisting journalists and researchers in locating relevant footage. Additionally, they are involved in the development of Media Asset Management systems and contributes to the development and updating of company policies. Outside of their core role, Nora is also involved in promoting good health as a Healthy Working Lives ambassador, ensuring good mental health as a Mental Health champion and First Aider, and actively supports charitable initiatives as a former STV Children's Appeal ambassador.
Nora Noonan pursued their education at the University of Dundee from 2013 to 2021, where they earned a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in Archival Studies. Prior to that, they attended The University of Edinburgh from 2002 to 2006, completing a Bachelor of Music (Hons) degree in Music Technology.
