Fabian Frei has worked in a variety of roles since 2006. From 2006 to 2008, they were the Operations Manager at Go Vertical. Fabian then moved to the NZ Sponsorship Agency in 2008, where they were an Account Manager. In this role, they organized major events and national experiential marketing and sponsorship campaigns for blue-chip clients. In 2012, they were the Deputy Site Manager for the London 2012 Olympics, a fixed-term contract role. From 2012 to 2016, they worked at coANDco (UK) Limited as a Senior Project Manager and Growth Hacker. During this time, they advised corporate and startup clients on Agile product management, led a five-strong Agile team, and won the World Port Hackathon 2015 with a prototype that streamlines in-port communication and information management using a semi-automated chatbot concept. From 2016 to 2019, they were a Senior Product Manager at Fineway. In 2020, they moved to Laya Technologies as a Senior Product Manager, and they are currently the Head of Product at Styla.
Fabian Frei attended Auckland University of Technology from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Sport and Recreation Conjoint Degree, studying Sport, Marketing, and Sponsorship. Prior to that, they attended Ruhr University Bochum in 2004, where they studied Object Oriented Programming (Java) and Business English.
