Galina Sobolev has extensive experience in the fashion industry. Galina began their career in 1989 as Creative Director of the Career Division at Carole Little, where they managed the $178M division from concept through finished product. In 1992, they moved to Bisou-Bisou as Design Director of the Wovens Division, creating the brand's first woven sportswear collection and working closely with the sales and merchandising team. In 1995, they founded and served as Creative Director of SINGLE LOS ANGELES, a $5M fashion brand with several divisions. Galina then joined Thomas Wylde in 2015 as Sales & Merchandise Presentation Consultant, contributing $3.4M in international sales volume from November 2015 to December 2017. Most recently, they have been working as Chief Marketing Officer at StyleScan since 2018, developing and executing marketing strategies for innovative SaaS virtual try-on digital solutions for e-commerce. Galina has also consulted on brand management, PR, media relations, and product launches.
Galina Sobolev attended the Fashion Institute of Technology from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a BFA in Fashion Design. Galina also attended Nottingham Trent University in 1983, studying Knitwear Technology.
