Christian Ward

Head of Multimedia at Stylus

Christian Ward has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over multiple industries. Christian began their career as a Writer for NME in 1998 before moving on to IPC Media as a Reviews Editor for NME.COM. Christian then worked as a Dance Editor for worldpop.com, where they wrote, edited, and published news stories, reviews, and features on the Dance Music portal. From 2002 to 2005, they worked as a Freelance Writer, contributing to various publications such as NME, the Guardian, and the Times. During this time, they also wrote sleevenotes for Simply.

In 2005, Christian joined Which? magazine as an Online Production Assistant before transitioning to Clarity Comms in 2006 as a Communications Consultant, where they worked on PR for social network website Last.fm. Christian then joined Last.fm as a PR Manager in 2007, responsible for press and public relations.

In 2009, Christian joined Clarity Comms as the Head of Digital Strategy, overseeing Clarity's dotcom division and developing social media strategies for clients. Christian worked with major digital web companies such as SoundCloud, Webdoc, Pushnote, and Artfinder, devising PR strategies and viral video concepts.

Christian's next role was at the BBC in 2012, where they worked as a Digital Publicist, promoting BBC Future Media innovation and developing long-term media relations and social media strategies. Later in 2012, they joined Stylus Innovation + Advisory as an Editor in the Media & Marketing department. Christian progressed to Senior Editor and then to Head of Media & Marketing (Editorial), where they researched, commissioned, and wrote weekly articles on culture, media, and advertising.

Most recently, Christian has been serving as the Head of Multimedia at Stylus Innovation + Advisory, where they continue to contribute their expertise and skills to the company.

From 1995 to 1998, Christian Ward attended the University of Oxford, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Literature.
