Jorge Porto has extensive work experience in the field of project management and sales in the telecommunications industry. Jorge has held positions at various companies, including SubCom and Tyco Telecommunications (now known as TE SubCom). At SubCom, they served as the Director of CALA Sales, where they led sales efforts in Latin America and the Caribbean resulting in over $500M in contract awards. Earlier in their career, Jorge worked at UTE as a Network Engineer, designing and overseeing the installation of fiber optic networks, implementing telecommunication solutions, and supervising the installation of high voltage facilities and power lines. Jorge also worked at a Medical Center as a Programmer and Software Developer, where they designed and implemented IT solutions and provided user support.

Jorge Porto completed the Negotiation for Executives program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2016. Previously, Jorge obtained their MBA from IDE-SECEM and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in Telecommunications, from the Universidad de la Republica Oriental del Uruguay.
