Knut Erik Dybvik

Knut Erik Dybvik has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Knut Erik began their career as a Deck Cadet at Gulf Coast Lines in 2009 and then joined Maersk Line, Limited as a Deck Cadet in 2010. In 2011, they worked as a Deck Cadet at Horizon Lines and as a Summer Intern at Tokyo Marine Europe. In 2012, they were a Training Mate at Moran Towing Corporation before moving on to be a Captain at Manhattan Yacht Club and a Sailing Instructor at Islander Watersports in 2014. Since 2015, they have been with SubCom, where they have held various roles including Third Mate, Second Mate, First Officer, and currently Chief Mate.

Knut Erik Dybvik attended the United States Merchant Marine Academy from 2008 to 2012, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Marine Transportation. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Dynamic Positioning Operator from The Nautical Institute in March 2018. Knut Erik also holds a certification as a National Chief Mate Unlimited OC or NC from the U.S. Coast Guard.
