Jeanne Cooper

Jeanne Cooper is an experienced educator and content creator currently serving at SubjectToClimate as a Content Creator and part of the AI committee since August 2023, while also teaching at Tutored by Teachers since May 2023. Jeanne has a diverse teaching background, having worked as a Teacher of Science at Bedminster Township Public School until September 2023 and as an AP Environmental Science Teacher at Central Jersey College Prep Charter School from June 2020 to July 2022. Additional teaching positions include Earth & Environmental Science Teacher at Warren County Technical School and Science Teacher for grades 9-12 at Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. Jeanne's early career includes a teaching position at Countryside Montessori School and a visiting lecturer role at UNC Charlotte. Prior to a full-time educational career, Jeanne worked at the U.S. Department of Energy as a Manager for Volcanism Site Characterization from June 1991 to September 1995. Jeanne holds a Ph.D. in Geology from Miami University and a Graduate Certificate in Middle and Secondary Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
