Mercedes Frias

Mercedes Frias has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Mercedes started their career as a Family Worker at the NYC Department of Education in 2012 and worked there until 2014. From 2014 to 2016, they served as a Retail Store Manager at Giorgio Armani. In 2015, they worked as an Event Producer and Curator at The Scarlet Event until 2018. Mercedes then joined Pressed in 2016 and held the positions of Store Manager from 2016 to 2019 and Marketing and Events Specialist from 2019 to 2020. Mercedes joined Vanderbilt University in 2023 as a Research Assistant for a brief period. Currently, Mercedes is working at Success Academy Charter Schools, where they started in 2021 as an Operations Associate, then became a Senior Operations Associate in 2022, and currently holds the role of Director of Operations.

Mercedes Frias earned a Bachelor's degree in English and Psychology from Mercy University in 2020. Currently, from 2022 to 2024, they are pursuing a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Creative Writing at Hunter College.
