Shannon McCarthy

Shannon McCarthy currently serves as Senior Institutional Partnerships Officer at Success Academy Charter Schools since September 2023. Prior experience includes roles such as Development Officer for Institutional Giving at Harlem Children's Zone from January 2022 to September 2023, and Senior Manager of Institutional Giving at New Classrooms from November 2018 to January 2022, where Shannon also held the position of Grants Manager. Shannon's background encompasses various managerial positions at the National School Climate Center (formerly Center for Social and Emotional Education) from July 2016 to November 2018, including Education Services Manager and Resource Center Manager. Previous experience includes working as a Language and International Expansion Associate at Tralalere and as an English Language Instructor for the Teaching Assistant Program in France USA. Shannon began a career with City Year as a Corps Member and interned at the Downtown Women's Center. Shannon holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Prevention Science and Practice from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Gender and Feminist Studies from Pitzer College.
