William Madden has extensive experience in emergency services and law enforcement. Currently serving as the 2nd Deputy Chief Instructor at the Nassau County Fire Service Academy since November 2013, Madden also holds the position of Police Sergeant with the Suffolk County Police Department since June 2010, responding to a wide range of 911 emergencies. Prior experience includes serving as an EMT-Critical Care at the Lawrence Cedarhurst Fire Department from August 2004 to January 2017, and as a Law Enforcement Officer with the NYPD from July 2002 to June 2010. William Madden holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs with a focus on Emergency Management from SUNY Empire State College and an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Nassau Community College.
