Walter Bender

Walter Bender has an extensive work history, starting in 1978 when they joined MIT as a senior research scientist. Walter later worked as the Executive Director of the MIT Media Lab from 2000 to 2006. In 2006, Bender became the President of One Laptop per Child and the president of One Laptop Per Child Association, Inc. until 2008. In 2008, they became the Executive Director of Sugar Labs. In 2009, Bender joined the Squeakland Foundation as a board member. Currently, since 2018, they hold multiple roles at Sorcero, including Chief Scientific Officer, Chief Learning Officer, and Chief Technology Officer.
