Hongjian Liao

Hongjian Liao is a Project Specialist at suitX since August 2018, focusing on the development of a commercial exoskeleton aimed at reducing muscle fatigue for middle-aged customers. Responsibilities include utilizing machine learning to analyze sensor data and collaborating with KAZ lab for research purposes. Previously, Hongjian served as a Summer Analyst at China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group, where contributions involved developing an environmental purification machine, summarizing engineering data, translating experimental results, and presenting findings to various audiences. Earlier experience includes a Summer Fellow position at Johnson & Johnson, where work involved 3D modeling, data visualization using MATLAB and Python, and translation of reports between English and Mandarin. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
