Luis Antonio Garcia Vega

Luis Antonio Garcia Vega has extensive experience in the beef production industry, currently serving as Gerente General at Ganadera Mexicali S.A de C.V. since November 2013. Prior to this role, Luis held the position of Gerente Corporativo de Producción at SuKarne, overseeing operations for four cattle feeding lots with a total inventory of 300,000 head. From 2005 to 2012, Luis worked at IPISA as Gerente General, where responsibilities included planning and implementing a production unit for 75,000 fattening cattle, including facilities for slaughter and butchering. Additionally, Luis served as Gerente General at the largest beef production plant in Mexico, managing a workforce of 500 and various departments. Earlier experience includes a role at Coast Grain Company as Gerente Divisional, focusing on inventory management and sales administration. Luis holds a Master’s degree in Meat Science from Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua and a Veterinary Medicine degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
