Lori J. Solomon

VP, Trade & Experiences at Sullivan County Visitors Association

Lori J. Solomon is an accomplished tourism professional with extensive experience in the industry. Currently serving as Vice President of the Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association since February 2018, Lori has a strong background in tourism development and marketing. Prior experience includes being the CEO and Chief Consultant at Van Tourism Specialists from January 2014 to 2022, where the focus was on creating cultural heritage and sustainable travel experiences. Lori also held the role of Director of Tourism Development and Marketing at the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor from January 2006 to October 2014, leading initiatives for historic preservation across a 500-mile span in upstate New York. Additional roles include Executive Director of the Feeder Canal Alliance and Operations Manager at the Children’s Museum at Saratoga. Lori's education includes a Masters in Tourism Administration from The George Washington University, a Masters in Public Administration, and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University at Albany.
