Gerrett Tengblad

Chief Engineer - Industrial Products at Sullivan-Palatek

Gerrett Tengblad has a diverse work experience starting in 1999, when they joined the US Navy as an Electrician's Mate 2nd Class. During this time, they served as the Training Petty Officer for the electrical division, where they developed a curriculum that helped over 50 fellow tradesmen achieve the division's highest qualification. Gerrett also conducted power plant operations and monitored equipment for potential issues.

In 2005, Tengblad joined Collins Marine Repair Inc. as the Manager of the Electrical Department and Senior Technician. In this role, they estimated the required time and materials for future work orders, submitted proposed work orders, and prepared and scheduled project milestones. Gerrett held this position until June 2009.

Since 2013, Tengblad has been working at Sullivan-Palatek, Inc. as the Chief Engineer for Industrial Products. In this role, they lead the design efforts for new electrical motor-driven industrial products ranging from 5 to 500 horsepower. Gerrett guides these products through the entire design process, from conception to final production. Tengblad also provides product and technical support to colleagues and customers, as well as supports sales initiatives.

Gerrett Tengblad obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in CAD/CADD Drafting and/or Design Technology/Technician from Cuyamaca College from 2005 to 2008. Following this, they pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University Northwest between 2009 and 2013.
