Matthew Anderson

Matthew Anderson is an accomplished professional with over two decades of experience at Sulzer, currently serving as Head of Digital Manufacturing Technology since September 2000, where responsibilities include overseeing digital transformation and ensuring cybersecurity in manufacturing processes. Previously, roles included Data Analytics and Smart Technologies Manager, focusing on IoT and analytics to enhance customer operations across various sectors, and Global Operations Tools & Smart Technologies Manager, where leadership of diverse software development teams facilitated the establishment of a global IT strategy. Additional roles have involved coordinating data governance as MDM Data Custodian and driving automated improvements as Global Lean Project Manager. Prior experience includes IT leadership positions at Sulzer Pumps and earlier roles at AstraZeneca and Treasury Management Systems Ltd. Matthew holds a BSc in Physics with Theoretical Physics from the University of Birmingham and is pursuing a PhD in Industrial Engineering - Smart Factory Innovation at Glasgow Caledonian University.
