SCA is also a major producer of Methyl Methacrylate and one of the leading company of Health & Crop Science products, Energy & Functional materials and Solution-Styrene Butadiene Rubber (S-SBR). Our state-of-the-art Methyl Methacrylate Monomer (MMA) and Polymethyl Methacrylate (PMMA) and S-SBR plants are strategically located in Singapore’s Jurong Island with ready access to an efficient port. As Asia’s largest integrated producer of Methyl Methacrylate, SCA’s MMA and PMMA (SUMIPEX®) plants allow vertical integration from raw material to product and customers. Our S-SBR plant, Sumitomo Chemical’s first synthetic rubber plant outside Japan, manufactures high quality products. We develop grades with customers to further advance the needs for the tyre industry.
