Satoshi Okamoto

Satoshi Okamoto is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research coordination and chemical research. Currently serving as the Chief Research Coordinator at Sumitomo Chemical, Satoshi has held various key roles within the Corporate Planning Office and the IT-related Chemical Research Lab since April 1996. In addition to the role at Sumitomo Chemical, Satoshi is affiliated with several prestigious institutions, including The University of Tokyo and RIKEN as a Specially-appointed Researcher and Team Leader of CEMS, respectively, as well as serving as a Special Researcher at the Industrial Technology Research Institute and a Specially-appointed Professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology since April 2023. Prior to these appointments, Satoshi completed a postdoctoral fellowship at New York University and earned a PhD in Polymer/Plastics Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology.
