Sara Zimmerman

Sara Zimmerman, PMP has over 30 years of experience in various roles related to business development, project management, strategic marketing, and product management. Sara started their career in 1983 as a Salesperson at Weather Makers, selling heating and air conditioning systems. Sara then worked at SHEALY-HODGES CORP as a Salesperson, where they sold heating and air conditioning systems and services to homeowners, businesses, and contractors. At Belleville Supply, they served as a Territory Manager, responsible for selling heating and air conditioning equipment to contractors.

Sara then joined General Electric Supply as an Inside Sales representative, where they worked from 1991 to 1997. In this role, they assisted customers with their inquiries and managed sales transactions. Sara later moved to Sumitomo Drive Technologies and worked as a Product Specialist, Electrical, handling quotations and technical questions for electrical products.

At Sumitomo Drive Technologies, Sara held several roles, including Project Coordinator, where they managed gearmotor products for UPS's automated packaging facility. Sara also worked as a Product Manager, Hyponic, responsible for managing and developing hyponic products. Additionally, they served as the Industry Manager, Food & Beverage, developing marketing strategies and managing product launches.

Sara then transitioned into project management and worked as a Project Manager, ensuring the successful completion of large industrial projects. Sara was later promoted to Strategic Marketing Manager, where they focused on strengthening the company's international marketing capabilities and enhancing marketing communications.

Sara'smost recent roles at Sumitomo Drive Technologies include Director of Business Development, Director of Business Development - Gearmotor, and Vice President of Business Development, where they were responsible for driving business growth and developing new opportunities.

Throughout their career, Sara has demonstrated strong project management, strategic planning, and customer-focused skills. Sara is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Sara Zimmerman, PMP, has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in International Business from Regent University, which they obtained from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Old Dominion University, attending from 1983 to 1987. In addition to their degrees, Sara Zimmerman holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, which they obtained in April 2009.
