George Komban

George Komban has extensive experience in the field of risk management and auditing. George started their career as an Internal Audit Executive at Bharat Bijlee Ltd in 2008. George then worked at ANB Consulting Company as a Consultant in the Business Process Group before joining BDO Consulting as an Assistant Manager in Risk Advisory Services. In 2015, they joined GENPACT as a Manager in Enterprise Risk Consulting. In 2017, they became a Manager in Risk Assurance at PwC India. George then joined UBS as an Associate Director, initially working in Control Assurance and later in Outsourcing & Third Party Risk. In 2022, they joined Credit Suisse as a Vice President in Internal Audit, specializing in Outsourcing and Third Party Risk. In 2023, they served as a Prüfungsleiter in IT Control Assurance at BDO Germany, and they currently hold the position of Vice President in Outsourcing & Third Party Risk at SMBC Group.

George Komban completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in General Management from XLRI Jamshedpur in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical from the University of Mumbai from 2002 to 2007. George also attended NES High School for vocational science from 2000 to 2002 and St. Pius X High School for their secondary education from 1988 to 2000. In terms of certifications, George obtained the Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner certification from IBM and the GDPR Data Protection Officer Skills certification from the University of Derby Online Learning in 2020. George also has certifications as a Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) from ISACA in 2016, Six Sigma - Green Belt from KPMG in 2009, and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., expected to be obtained in December 2022.
