Silvia Szanto

Silvia Szanto has a diverse and extensive work experience in the financial and technology sectors. Silvia is currently working at SMBC Group as the Head of Technology Program and Business Management for the Americas, and also serves as the Chief of Staff to the Americas CIO. In this role, they lead the IT Program Management Office for the Americas Division and oversees business management in support of the Chief Information Officer.

Prior to joining SMBC Group, Silvia was employed at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation as a Senior Program and Relationship Executive, as well as the Chief of Staff to the Chief Data Officer. At JPMorgan Chase & Co., they held multiple roles over the course of almost two decades, including COO, CFO, Chief of Staff, and Emerging Markets Product Development. Silvia was responsible for various tasks including financial performance oversight, budgeting and forecasting, and business administration.

Silvia also worked at J.P. Morgan as the Latin America Regional CFO & COO, where they served as the Argentina, Chile, and Venezuela Country Controller. Their early career included a position at Siemens AG as the Corporate Strategy & Statistics Lead.

Silvia Szanto completed their education at the University of Buenos Aires, where they obtained a degree in Accounting & Business Management. Silvia has acquired additional certifications as a Certified Public Accountant from the Consejo Profesional de Ciencias Económicas de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, and as a Series 24 - General Securities Principal, Series 7 & 63 Registered Representative, and Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) from FINRA and J.P. Morgan respectively.
